From conflict to clarity Level 1

A one-day workshop to improve your relationship with conflict

Saturday 12th February 2022

10am until 5pm

Bristol Subud Hall, 29 Wesley Place, Clifton, Bristol BS8 2YD

Conflict is one of the factors that defines us and that brings the possibility of growth and change.  Conflict, when engaged with well give meaning and purpose to our lives.

This workshop offer a chance to treat your conflicts with the respect they deserve. To see what they ask of you - and where they can take you.

Most of us hesitate to engage clearly with conflict; it scares some of us so we avoid it, suppress it, and push it away.  For others, we like the adrenalin surge that comes in moments of conflict and so we move towards it but not always with great outcomes.

We will use a mixture of theory and practice to explore the lessons, choices, opportunities and possible new actions contained in our conflict situation.   We will pay attention to all aspects of ourselves, what goes on in our brain, with our feelings and within our bodies.

You will receive coaching, support and some challenges to think about your usual patterns in conflict and to start the move towards some new ways of engaging with it.

Although this may be surprising, we will have fun with the learning so don’t expect painful seriousness, expect some insight and some playfulness.

After nearly 30 years of working as a mediator who specialises in facilitating difficult conversation, I can help you start to move from conflict to clarity.

Someone attending a previous course said

"I really enjoyed the relaxed, respectful, personal approach of the workshop. With seeming ease Nigel helped us to co-create a safe and warm group for the day. Weaving in a variety of different offerings from a menu according to the responses in the room worked well. The mix of whole group, pairs, small group, sitting, moving etc gave a liveliness to the day – no time to get tired or bored yet neither was it ‘too much’ at any point. I liked the fresh approach to some familiar material and also found I left the day wanting to experience more. I’d thoroughly recommend this workshop."
